Day two of the NFL Scouting Combine is underway. Friday it was the offensive linemen and running backs going through their drills and workouts. Now it’s the quarterbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends turns to show their stuff.
These groups are done with their measurements and weigh-ins and had their press conferences and interviews yesterday. Taking the field for their workouts in the final step for them in the combine.
First up will be the quarterbacks. For some, it’s more about the throwing drills than it is the athletic drills. Some still opt not to throw at the combine, such as USC’s Sam Darnold. They would rather not risk a poor showing while throwing to unfamiliar receivers.
Wide receivers are after that. Every part of their athletic and skills workouts will matter. From the 40-yard-dash, to the gauntlet receiving drills.
It’s similar for the tight ends. Even those who will be seen more for their blocking abilities. They can raise their value with a strong showing today.
