Things move pretty quickly in the social media age, so we could get some resolution on this soon. But as of right now two Seattle Seahawks defensive backs are talking like Richard Sherman is no longer with the Seahawks.
Fellow cornerback Jeremy Lane said he got a text message that made his heart hurt, adding “damn, 25 was my Dawg.” Richard Sherman is number 25.

Then it was safety Kam Chancellor who posted on Instagram thanks to Richard Sherman for giving him his nickname.
The 29-year-old Stanford alum and Southern California native is scheduled to be a $13.2 million cap hit this season with just $2.2 million in dead money should he be cut. And the Seahawks are in the midst of a rebuild of sorts, including coaches and players.
Then there was Ian Rapoport who said Sherman has been telling teammates goodbye over the past 24 hours.
#Seahawks CB Richard Sherman has told teammates goodbye over the past 24 hours, sources say, and that he won’t be on the team. Those close to him say nothing is set in stone and there has been no official word. But clearly bears watching.

Sherman is scheduled to meet with Seahawks brass this afternoon, according to NFL Network’s Tom Peliserro.
#Seahawks star Richard Sherman is scheduled to meet with coach Pete Carroll and GM John Schneider later today to discuss his future, I'm told.

More on this as it develops. But can you imagine the Raiders going after Sherman in free agency? Ooooooh, buddy. Stay tuned.
