The ripples of the Browns trading frenzy today has hit Oakland. With the Packers acquiring Browns second year QB Deshone Kizer in trade, they have been shopping their own backup QB Brett Hundley for a willing trade partner. Initially that was to be the Titans, but with the Titans backing out, the Raiders are said to be the primary interested party now according to Packers talk.

It is expected for the Raiders to be adding a veteran quarterback to compete for the backup job with third year man, Connor Cook. Last year EJ Manuel came in on a one year deal and won the primary backup job and now he is set to be a free agent again.

The third year QB went 3-6 in 9 starts last season in place of the injured Aaron Rodgers. In those starts, he completed just over 60% of his passes and threw 9 touchdowns to 12 interceptions.

The Packers are said to not be pleased with the development of Hundley which is why they acquired Kiser and are looking to move their 2015 5th round pick QB.

Hundley is a UCLA grad and Arizona native. Sending a late round pick would be no big deal for the Raiders. They have six sixth round picks — four of which are compensatory picks — and a 7th round pick they can part with.
