Silver & Black Pride community mock draft: Steelers get their hopeful Ryan Shazier replacement, who do the Jaguars select at 29?

With the tragic injury to Ryan Shazier, the Steelers had one obvious glaring need. And in the Silver & Black Pride community mock draft, they had two great options available to them at 28. For that reason, the votes were incredibly close between Alabama’s Rashaan Evans and Boise State’s Leighton Vander Esch. In the end it was Vander Esch who edged out Evans.

Just four picks remain in our mock as we’re up against it with the draft just a couple days away. The Jaguars are up next, so help us reach the finish line.

A reminder, the way this will work is we will ask the Silver & Black Pride community (you) which prospect you think each team will pick, starting with the Browns at number one overall thru the end of the first round.

Sorry, we can’t do trades because that would just get too complicated. So, if you think there will be a trade up at that spot, just pick the player you think will go there.

Each pick will go into place, taking them off the board for the rest of the mock vote. There are 12 choices in the poll in order to try and ensure some possibilities aren’t missed.

Twenty eight prospects off the board now:

  1. Cleveland Browns — Sam Darnold, QB, USC
  2. New York GiantsSaquon Barkley, RB, Penn State
  3. New York JetsJosh Rosen, QB, UCLA
