2018 NFL Draft Results: Raiders trade up two spots, select LSU DE Arden Key

After tripling down in the trenches with 3 lineman selected in the first 2 rounds. The Raiders jump up 2 spots and grab top tier talent Arden Key, defensive end from Louisiana State University.

Arden Key notched 20 sacks and 24 tackles for loss in his 3 years in the SEC. Heralded as a future top pick, Arden Key fell off the draft landscape after going to drug rehab in the spring between his sophomore and junior seasons.

Key lost a significant amount of weight going into his junior year and looked a shell of his former self on the field. The Raiders are very confident in their support system for these types of problems and have signed several players who have faced similar issues in their careers.

Arden Key is a true defensive end standing at 6’5. He’ll have to put on weight and Tom Shaw will be a big part of his development as a pass rusher to compliment Khalil Mack.
