With their last few picks the Raiders have addressed their holes on the defensive line, at punter and linebacker with Maurice Hurst, Johnny Townsend and Azeem Victor respectively. With their seventh round pick, Oakland takes Marcell Ateman, a receiver from the pass-happy offense of the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

Ateman is a huge target at 6’4” and will look to make his mark in a Raider WR corps that just added another big receiver in Martavis Bryant this week. Ateman took over a starting role in his junior year and lit up the scoreboard, tallying over 1800 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns and 13 touchdowns over his last two years. He has averaged 16.8 yards per catch in his Oklahoma State career and is a jump-ball and deep-play threat.

A 4.64 forty time caused him to slide down draft boards despite his production, but his size combined with a 34-inch vertical leap should make him an appealing red zone target.
