Not five picks after the Raiders 2018 draft, they are back on the phones, making a deal. They acquire wide receiver Ryan Switzer from the Cowboys in exchange for 2016 second round pick Jihad Ward.
Ward never developed at the defensive tackle spot for the Raiders.
Switzer was the Cowboys’ fourth round pick in the 2017 draft out of North Carolina. He is a slot receiver type and return man. He appeared in all 16 games, catching 6 passes for 41 yards.
The 5-8, 181-pounder did most of his work returning both kicks and punts. He returned 29 punts for 256 yards (8.8 yards per return) with one touchdown. He also returned 24 kicks for 60 yards (25 ypr).
