With the draft now done, some sweeping changes are expected to the Raiders’ personnel departement, including the departure of Director of Personnel, Joey Clinkscales. This according to Alex Marvez of the Sporting News.

Gruden brought in a new coaching staff and from the outset he and his staff have taken a more prominent role in the acquisition of players, whether through free agency or in the draft. The changing out personnel departments is fairly commonplace with new coaching staffs, so it’s important not to read too much into this news.

“It was fun,” Reggie McKenzie said of working with Gruden during the draft. “The one thing that this staff has, they have a vision. They know exactly what they want, what they need and what will help them be successful. They communicated really well. I thought it was really good the way the scouts and coaches interacted, myself and Gruden included.”

The Raiders are expected to add at least one personnel executive, likely to replace Clinkscales whose prospects could be to join John Dorsey and Hue Jackson with the Cleveland Browns.
