Silver & Black Pride community mock draft: Raiders are on the clock

Exactly three weeks from right now, at 5pm Pacific time on April 26, the 2018 NFL draft will begin. Ten picks into that draft, the Raiders will be on the clock. But for the Silver & Black Pride Community, that time is now.

Hopefully none of you had your hearts set on picking Denzel Ward for the Raiders, because if you did, that heart is now broken because your fellow S&BP community picked him to go to San Francisco with 31% of the vote. If it goes that way on draft day, hopefully for the Raiders sake they weren’t itching to go with an Ohio State cornerback two years in a row.

Curses to lost coin flips.

We must go with what’s still on the board, which is quite a lot of talent.

A reminder, the way this will work is we will ask the Silver & Black Pride community (you) which prospect you think each team will pick, starting with the Browns at number one overall thru the Raiders pick at 10 overall and beyond.

Sorry, we can’t do trades because that would just get too complicated. So, if you think there will be a trade up at that spot, just pick the player you think will go there.

Each pick will go into place, taking them off the board for the rest of the mock vote. This time I have added several new prospects to bring the choices in the poll to 12 in order to try and ensure some possibilities aren’t missed.

Nine prospects off the board now:

  1. Cleveland Browns — Sam Darnold, QB, USC
  2. New York GiantsSaquon Barkley, RB, Penn State
  3. New York JetsJosh Rosen, QB, UCLA
  4. Cleveland Browns — Bradley Chubb, DE, NC State
  5. Denver BroncosJosh Allen, QB, Wyoming
  6. Indianapolis ColtsQuenton Nelson, OG, Notre Dame
  7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Minkah Fitzpatrick, S, Alabama
  8. Chicago BearsTremaine Edmunds, LB, Virginia Tech
  9. San Francisco 49ers — Denzel Ward, CB, Ohio State
  10. Oakland Raiders —
