Watch: Raiders K Eddy Pineiro shows off his leg in draft prep

Before the 2018 NFL scouting combine, former Florida kicker Eddy Pineiro worked with Jamie Kohl who runs Kohl’s Kicking Camp for training and NFL draft exposure of kickers. Pineiro went undrafted, but after the Raiders drafted punter Johnny Townsend, they signed his former Florida teammate Pineiro as an undrafted free agent.

In the video below, Raider Nation can see what made Pineiro such an enticing prospect. Pineiro was on point during his kickoffs with his massive leg in addition to his precision by being able to launch it at his target, the shot clock, with regularity. He was also knocking in 50-yard field goals right down the middle with plenty of distance to spare.

The kicking positions in Oakland have already seen a lot of turnover in an offseason full of change since Jon Gruden took over. The Raiders have said goodbye to longtime staples in Sebastian Janikowski and Marquette King, signed and released punter Colby Wadman, drafted Townsend and signed Pineiro to compete with incumbent kicker Giorgio Tavecchio.
