The fantasy guys may not like Derek Carr this season, but the oddsmakers seem to. The Raiders QB landed among the shorter odds for NFL MVP this season, coming in at +2000 (20 to 1) according to betonline.ag.

Those odds are good for 13th in the league, tied with Jimmy Garoppolo and Deshaun Watson.

Carr was in the MVP conversation late in the 2016 season, but fell out of the running with one of his many dismal performances in Kansas City. He then broke his fibula in week 16. Matt Ryan would go on to win it.

Last season, Carr dropped off considerably from his heroic 2016 campaign. The odds are banking on Jon Gruden being able to get Carr to shake off last season and return to the progress he had been making. Having a revamped wide receiving corps should help too.

Aaron Rodgers leads odds (6 to 1) followed closely by Tom Brady. The top 22 best odds are all quarterbacks. The first non-QB is Cardinals RB David Johnson at +4000 (40 to 1).

Here are all the MVP odds.
