Raiders sign OL Cameron Hunt, waive undrafted rookie Alex Officer

Some more shuffling happened today from the Raiders, with the team waiving center Alex Officer just a couple weeks since he signed with the team as an undrafted free agent and replacing him with 2017 undrafted free agent Cameron Hunt.

Hunt was originally a UDFA signing by the Denver Broncos our of Oregon. He saw time at center, guard, and tackle for the Broncos in the 2017 preseason.

He didn’t make the regular season roster and was later signed to the San Francisco 49ers’ practice squad in November, where he spent the remainder of last season.

The 6-4, 295-pounder started 43 games in 52 appearances over four years with the Oregon Ducks seeing time at right guard and right tackle.

It would seem to make sense for the Raiders to have signed Hunt as utility reserve center/guard being that he is replacing Officer who had that role.
