The Oakland Raiders have officially inked 4th round pick Nick Nelson, CB out of Wisconsin to his rookie contract. The signing leaves just the two 3rd round selections of Brandon Parker and Arden Key left as the lone unsigned members of the 2018 draft class for the Raiders.

Nelson was selected 110th overall after playing 2 seasons for Hawaii and 1 season at Wisconsin. In 37 games he totaled 124 tackles (95) solo, 42 passes defended, one sack and 2 forced fumbles for his college career. He was recognized as first team All-Big 10 and 2nd team All-American by CBS in 2017 for WI along with being All-Mountain West Honorable mention in 2015 for Hawaii.

He was originally projected as high as the 2nd round before a knee injury suffered in a team draft workout knocked him back down to the 4th round for the Raiders. If he returns to full health he has the chance to be a very big steal at that price for Oakland.
