Raiders linemen Donald Penn, Eddie Vanderdoes, PJ Hall begin training camp on Physically Unable to Perform list

San Francisco 49ers v Oakland Raiders

Camp begins in two days for the Raiders. It will begin without a few of its linemen. Among those who won’t be on the field to begin camp are left tackle Donald Penn and defensive tackles Eddie Vanderdoes and PJ Hall.

Penn had foot surgery this offseason that kept him from practicing full throughout OTA’s and minicamp. He would line up with the first team in walk-thrus and then be replaced by first round rookie Kolton Miller in team sessions.

Vanderdoes wasn’t expected to be ready. He tore his ACL in the team’s season finale against the Chargers and there are questions whether he will be ready for the season.

Second round rookie PJ Hall’s absence is a surprise as he hadn’t missed time this offseason. His injury has not been disclosed. He was to compete for one of the interior defensive tackle spots with fellow rookie fifth round pick Maurice Hurst among others.
