You gotta feel bad for Jason Verrett. He was a Pro Bowler in 2015 and since then he hasn’t been able to stay on the field. And now he can’t even GET on the field.
Friday Verrett suffered an injury of some sort and according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, it will likely cost him the season.
Sources: Nightmare again for the #Chargers, as CB Jason Verrett suffered an injury during the conditioning test that likely will cost him the season. Brutal luck on reporting day.

When the timetable comes out this quickly, it usually suggests it’s a lower leg injury such as a torn ACL or Achilles.
Verrett has seen action in just five games the past two seasons — 4 games in 2016 and 1 game in 2017. In both instances, it was a knee injury. The first time it was a torn ACL.
In general the Chargers have had trouble fielding a full team lately due to a string of injuries. Losing Verrett is big. He and Casey Hayward were arguably the top cornerback duo in the AFC West. With Verrett out, Trevor Williams figures to step back into the starting role with Desmond King playing a good amount as well.
