Jalen Richard reportedly has calf strain, Raiders will need to add running back

The running back group was a bit short today to begin with. Undrated rookie Chris Warren III was not practicing, leaving just four running backs, which isn’t a lot to work with in camp. Then they lost another back. Jalen Richard left practice with what is being reported as a calf strain according to Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review Journal.

Now down to three running backs, the team absolutely need to bring in another running back as right now they have just Marshawn Lynch, Doug Martin, and DeAndre Washington.

The Raiders won’t need to free up a roster spot to sign a back. They didn’t add anyone to fill Khalil Mack’s spot when he was placed on the reserve/did not report list, so they have a roster spot open.
