I hope that one day of training camp was enough for the Raiders staff to go on because that could be all Gareon Conley sees. According to Jim Trotter, the second year corner figures to miss a couple weeks with his hip strain.
On #Raiders 2017 first-round CB Gareon Conley, who has missed the last few days: He is expected to miss a couple of weeks with a hip strain, sources tell @JimTrotter_NFL and me. When he’s on the field, though, he’s impressed.

There are only three weeks of training camp, so if he is out a couple weeks, he would see just the last few days. In total, there are 15 camp practices, and if he misses a couple weeks’ time, he would miss at least the first preseason game and return in time to practice the final four days. And based on what we have seen so far in his young career, that’s probably optimistic.
Conley missed the entirety of last year’s camp with a shin injury and at that time, the Raiders were also saying he would be back in short order, just as they are now. This report only confirms our skepticism has merit this time around as well.
