The most solid indication the Raiders aren’t sold on their defensive backs right now was the fact that it was the only group that didn’t see most or all of the first team corners sit out their last preseason game. Having free agent cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie in for a visit is another indication.
The 32-year-old veteran corner told Josina Anderson that he visited the Raiders today, adding that it went “Real good.”
Free agent CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie told me he is in Oakland. He worked out for the #Raiders today. He said it went "real good."

Currently the Raiders’ expected corners are Rashaan Melvin, Gareon Conley, Daryl Worley, and rookie Nick Nelson with several others vying for 1-2 open spots. Rodgers-Cromartie could figure into that mix as well as a potential signing should the Raiders like him better than their other options.
Rodgers-Cromartie has 30 career interceptions over 10 NFL seasons, including a career-high 6 just two seasons ago.
Updated: Rodgers-Cromartie has signed with the Raiders. First reported by Charles James II and confirmed by Adam Schefter. DRC has retweeted these reports, which also confirms them.
