There’s an obvious joke here I’m not going to make, but the most recent hysteria surrounding Raiders defensive end Khalil Mack comes from a Detroit radio personality who said a Detroit limo driver told him he gave Khalil Mack a ride to team headquarters.
Just heard from a Metro Detroit limo driver that he just picked up Raiders LB Khalil Mack and he is going to meet with #Lions GM Bob Quinn Monday. Stay tuned.......

A lot of people have laughed as this tweet has made the rounds. Some have noted that this would be tampering unless the Raiders gave Mack permission to make the visit — something that seems unlikely they would do. But some have really ran with it.
Then the morning came. And the Lions signed a defensive end. Just not Mack.
The #Lions signed free agent DE Robert Ayers, most recently of the #Bucs, to a 1-year contract. He had 8.5 sacks over 2 seasons with TB.

Could this be a case of mistaken identity? Let’s see here. Both are 6-3. Ayers is listed at 273 pounds and Mack is 252 pounds.
This is Robert Ayers:

And this is Khalil Mack:

I’ll let you be the judge if the limo driver got the two mixed up. But this seems like pretty solid evidence to suggest he did.
