A lot of speed left the Raiders building on the roster cuts before the season. First Martavis Bryant was cut amidst reports he is facing a suspension. Then 2016 surprise undrafted receiver Johnny Holton was let go in favor of 2017 undrafted receiver Keon Hatcher. Now both are back.
Bryant was re-signed today to a one-year deal, which is really more of a game-by-game deal because it comes after the first game of the season when contracts are not guaranteed.
Holton today was re-signed to the team’s practice squad, re-uniting him with childhood friend, Amari Cooper.
The former juco star and Cincinnati Bearcat spent the past couple seasons on the Raiders’ roster catching a combined 11 passes for 252 yards while appearing in all but one game. Last season he was also the team’s gunner on special teams.
The team cut safety Terrell Sinkfield from the practice squad in a corresponding move.
