It looks like the Dolphins defense could be full strength this Sunday when the Raiders travel to Miami. After missing a practice with a shoulder injury, safety Reshad Jones returned to practice Thursday. He was limited, but his return is a strong sign he will be good to go.
It wasn’t all good for the Dolphins, who saw starting cornerback Bobby McCain suffer a knee injury that caused him not to finish practice. His status for Friday will be one to watch.
The Raiders saw a corner get injured today as well. Rookie Nick Nelson had a hamstring issue that kept him from finishing practice. He has been inactive the first two weeks though and with Dwayne Harris expected back as the return man, and Leon Hall’s status upgraded today from illness, Nelson would be expected to be inactive again. Regardless, hopefully the injury is not serious.
Returning to practice for the Raiders was Brandon Parker who missed Wednesday with an ankle injury. He is the team’s reserve right tackle and plays primarily on special teams.
