Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across the NFL powered by SurveyMonkey. Each week, we send 32 polls to 100+ plugged in fans from each team. Raiders fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.
The first poll was sent out last week for the start of the regular season. Here are the results of that poll.
Will the Raiders win or lose in Week 1?
Raiders fans think they will beat the Rams by 3
My thoughts: The Rams are regarded in most power rankings as a top three NFL team this year and bonafide Super Bowl contender. But fans gonna fan and hope springs eternal.
How confident are you in the direction of the team?

Very confident: 37 percent
Somewhat confident: 45 percent
Meh: 8 percent
Not very confident: 6 percent
Not confident at all: 4 percent
My thoughts: This poll was sent out last week, with the vast majority of votes coming in by Friday before the Raiders traded Khalil Mack to the Bears. It will be very interesting to see the results next week with the team’s best player now gone and a game in the books.
What is the worst NFL rule?

My thoughts: This preseason the lowering the helmet rule was supremely frustrating because the calls didn’t make sense. So, the reaction of the fans to this new rule is understandable. What we don’t know is if the calling of this new rule will be just as ridiculous and with as much frequency as during the preseason. I went with the fumbling through the end zone rule, which came in second in the votes. That rule has never made a lick of sense to me.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the first poll. Hope to have more participants as the season goes along.
