This week has felt like the official kickoff to mock draft season now that the league has released it’s list of underclassmen who have entered the draft.

Earlier this week ESPN’s Mel Kiper released his mock draft 1.0 and today it was NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah’s turn.

4. Quinnen Williams, DT, Alabama

The Raiders are desperate for pass rushers. Williams offers tremendous upside in that department and dominates against the run.

No surprise with this pick, Williams is being mocked to the Raiders in numerous expert drafts. The combo of Williams and Maurice Hurst is down right scary.

24. Jaylon Ferguson, DE, Louisiana State

Ferguson has some stiffness, but his length, power and production will be very appealing to a team in need of edge rushers.

This big would be a bit of a surprise in comparison to other mock drafts out there. Pass rush is a major need for the Raiders and while Ferguson may not be a marquee name he had a highly productive career Louisiana Tech.

27. Trayvon Mullen, CB, Clemson

It would be a surprise if the Raiders used all three of their first-round picks on defensive players, but it might be wise to fix one side of the ball before addressing the other.

Again, not a name that has been linked to the Raiders in other mocks. One could argue the cornerback position is one of the more stable groups for the Raiders. When you look at the way Jeremiah’s round one unfolded, it would be hard to imagine Gruden and Mayock passing up on a new toy for Derek Carr. In this scenario AJ Brown and Noah Fant would both be available.
