Derek Carr will have a new QB coach for the the fourth straight year in 2019. His QB coach Brian Callahan has left the Raiders to accept the Offensive Coordinator position with the Bengals, Jon Gruden announced Tuesday.
“Brian Callahan is no longer with us,” Gruden said from the Senior Bowl in Mobile Alabama. “He’s going to go with the Cincinnati Bengals, I believe he’s going to be the Offensive Coordinator of the Bengals and I’m really proud of him, happy for him, happy for this opportunity. So, we’re shorthanded right now. We’ve lost a lot of quarterback guys over the years and they’ve all gone on, a lot of them have done great things and I’m sure Brian will do the same.”
Brian is the son of former Raiders head coach Bill Callahan. He came over from the Lions where he was the QB coach for two seasons.
