Chargers beat Ravens 23-17, head to Foxboro to face Patriots in Division round. Who is Raider Nation rooting for?

In a Wild Card game dominated by defense and special teams, the Chargers dominated the Ravens for much of the game. It got tense in the waning minutes when former Raiders wide receiver Michael Crabtree came through in the clutch with two touchdown passes. But in the end, the Chargers finished it off with a strip sack by linebacker Uchenna Nwosu on Lamar Jackson to pull out the win 23-17.

The Chargers will now turn right around and head back to the East Coast for the Division round against the Patriots in Foxboro Massachusetts.

The question is who will Raider Nation be rooting on in that game?

It’s a tough question because like every NFL fan not on the Patriots bandwagon, no one wants to see the Patriots head to another AFC Championship. But does that overrule your want to see a division rival go down?

A poll we took during the season suggested Raiders fans don’t see the Chargers as much of a rival. The bitterness is reserved for the Chiefs and Broncos.

There is plenty of bitterness for the Patriots whose cheating tainted dynasty got its start with one of the worst calls in the history of football — the infamous ‘Tuck Rule game’ which was clearly a fumble by Tom Brady. The game would have ended there, but instead the Patriots kept possession, added a field goal to tie it and send it to OT, and won it. They went on to “win” the Super Bowl.

So, I ask you to picture the game and which instance you would revel most. And no, a giant sinkhole swallowing up both teams is not an option.
