Silver & Black Pride playoff bracket update after Wild Card round

New, comments
NFL: AFC Wild Card-Los Angeles Chargers at Baltimore Ravens Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

The Wild Card round of the playoffs is behind us, so now it’s time we reveal what our staff brackets look like. It was a tough first round as none of us were able to correctly predict all four wild card game results. Some were worse off than others, however. Like, way worse.

Tyler Smith and BD Williams’ saw their brackets self destruct with both of Tyler’s Super Bowl picks knocked out and nearly BD’s entire bracket already gone, including his Super Bowl champion pick (Texans).

Evan has the best looking brackets so far, and even he was .500 in the opening weekend. Ryan, myself and Tyler Green only got one team correct this past weekend, but all of our Division round picks are still alive. Mainly because none of them have played yet.

I wish I could say the community did better, but they really didn’t. With over 50 submissions, not one got all four Wild Card round winners correct. Kinda crazy, really. There’s usually a few at least.

So we’ll have to wait until after the Division round to list who among you is in the lead. The Saints seem to be the most popular choice to win the Super Bowl, not just with our staff but with the community. And of all the submissions, there are two teams still in it that no one picked to win the Super Bowl — the Colts and Cowboys. Even though at this point, many Raiders sure would like to see the Colts representing the AFC.
