For the last game of this football Sunday across the NFL, the Steelers will be taking on the LA Chargers. That still just seems so wrong to put LA in front of Chargers, how long will this experiment last before Dean Spanos realizes he should have just built a new stadium himself in San Diego? That has nothing to do with this game really, but just as a general statement needs to be said as often as it takes for the NFL to realize just how badly they screwed up with that relocation.
Back to the action though, the Steelers have a tough road game here against the Chargers. Even though the Chargers have struggled out of the gate this year, they still have some serious offensive firepower behind the best RB tandem in the league of Melvin Gordon III and Austin Eckeler and veteran QB Philip Rivers.
Besides facing the superior offense, they also will be doing so with their 3rd string QB after losing Ben Roethlisberger for the season in Week 1 and 2nd string QB Mason Rudolph last week to a vicious helmet hit. Tonight they will have Devlin Hodges at the helm making his first career start.
It should be fun to see what Hodges can bring on the National stage for his first ever NFL start. Every super star has had to start from somewhere, stranger things have happened than seeing a 3rd string QB suddenly thrust themselves into stardom. Though that is unlikely, if it does happen you will get to see you watched it all go down.
