With an open roster spot after trading Gareon Conley to the Texans, the Raiders added journeyman defensive end Kasim Edebali.
The 6-2, 253-pounder started his career with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Boston College. He spent his first three season in New Orleans, putting up a combined 8.0 sacks in that time. His best season was 2015 when he put up 5.0 sacks, six QB hits, and 4 tackles for loss.
The past couple seasons he’s bounced around a bit, spending time with the Broncos, Rams, Lions, Bears, and Bengals. He appeared in just 14 games the past two seasons with just one combined tackle in that time.
Along with Edebali, the Raiders also signed offensive lineman Kyle Kalis to the practice squad.
Originally an undrafted free agent signing out of Michigan, Kalis has appeared in seven games with two starts the past two seasons for the Colts and Browns.
