The big question after last week’s game against Houston was the status of both centers, Rodney Hudson (ankle) and Andre James (ankle), for Week 9.
After not practicing on Wednesday and Thursday, both were limited on Friday, getting the questionable tag for Sunday. Jon Gruden was asked about the status of his two centers after practice on Friday.
“You know, they were out there, did a little bit,” Gruden said. “Both very sore, I would say they are questionable. They’re giving us what they have but they’re both sore.”
With less than 48 hours until game time, it’s possible things can still improve. But it seems unlikely we see either man on Sunday. The plan C at center is Richie Incognito, who has been working at center all week. Sliding Incognito to center would mean Denzelle Good would start at left guard.
Other players labeled as questionable include return man, Dwayne Harris, Josh Mauro, Erik Harris, and PJ Hall. Mauro did not practice at all this week with a groin injury, so his chances of playing look slim.
Erik Harris returned to practice Friday after dealing with an illness that kept him out Thursday. Expect him to be active on Sunday.
Check back on Sunday to check out the Week 9 inactive list prior to kickoff.
