Friday Injury Report: Lamarcus Joyner should be good to go, but Trent Brown is questionable

New, comments
NFL: Preseason-Oakland Raiders at Arizona Cardinals Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

After missing the previous two games with a hamstring injury, Lamarcus Joyner should be good to for for Sunday’s critical contest with the Chiefs.

Joyner will be a welcomed addition for a defense that has been forced to start Nevin Lawson for the past two weeks, as they’ll need as much speed on the field as possible to quell the blindingly swift duo of Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman.

Starting RT Trent Brown did not participate on Friday after being a full participant on Wednesday and Thursday. He is questionable for Sunday’s game and it would be a big blow if he is not available.

Other limited participants include Josh Jacobs and David Sharpe. Jacobs should be fine for Sunday, while Sharpe may be thrust into starting action if Brown isn’t able to play.

If neither Brown nor Sharpe are healthy enough to start, the Raiders may be forced to trot out Brandon Parker as the starting RT.

In other Friday news, the Raiders have signed the recently waived Erik Magnuson to the practice squad after he cleared waivers today. After waiving him to sign speedy WR convert Rico Gafford, the Raiders effectively swapped their spots on the active roster and practice squad to add a receiver in the wake of Hunter Renfrow’s rib injury.
