Raiders versus Lions open game thread

NFL: Chicago Bears at Oakland Raiders Steve Flynn-USA TODAY Sports

This is a pivotal game for the Raiders playoff hopes. With a win, they move to .500 and stay firmly alive in the race for an AFC Wildcard birth. Heck, if they win and Kansas City loses, they will have a solid shot at catching up to the Chiefs atop the AFC West.

This should be a barnburner, as both teams employ high-powered offenses and have defenses that are lacking. It’s a big test for Derek Carr as well, as the Lions pass rush has been terrible and their safety position is in a state of flux with Tracy Walker injured and Quandre Diggs traded before the deadline.

With Raider fans missing their team for the past 48 days, there’s no telling how loud the Coliseum might be. With the home fans cheering them on, Oakland is favored by 2.5 points.
