Josh Mauro is a healthy scratch this week for the Raiders, which comes as bit of a surprise considering he has been one of the better run defenders on the team. Rico Gafford was called up from the practice squad this week with the injury to Hunter Renfrow, but will not be active.
Trent Brown was hobbled by a knee injury this week, but will be healthy and ready to go for an all-important matchup with Frank Clark.
Another surprise inactive is Preston Brown, who was signed two weeks ago. One would think he has had time to get up to speed. The linebacker position is perhaps the weakest unit on the roster.
With Lamarcus Joyner back in the fold, rookie Isaiah Johnson is a healthy scratch as well. He’s been the team’s gunner at No. 3 outside cornerback the past few weeks.
There’s nothing notable for the Chiefs with the exception of starting running back Damien Williams, who is out with a rib injury. Expect to see a running back by committee approach of LeSean McCoy, Darrell Williams, and Darwin Thompson.
