Raiders injury update: Hunter Renfrow back in limited fashion

New, comments
NFL: Oakland Raiders at Houston Texans Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Ahead of Sunday’s home finale, Hunter Renfrow is progressing quicker than expected and has an outside chance to return from a broken rib and punctured lung suffered in Week 12.

Renfrow was able to practice in a limited capacity on Thursday and would be a welcomed addition to an offense that has struggled to find consistency without him.

Gabe Jackson has been dealing with nagging injuries all season and did not participate in practice on Thursday after being limited Wednesday.

Marcell Ateman (ribs) and Erik Harris (hamstring) were unexpected injury report additions on Thursday with both practicing in a limited manner, while Daryl Worley, Trent Brown and Marquel Lee did not participate for the second straight day.

All eyes are on Josh Jacobs as he looks to return from last week’s absence. While head coach Jon Gruden said that the next 48 hours would be paramount in deciding whether he will play or not, the fact that Jacobs practiced in a limited capacity for the second straight practice is a promising sign regarding his status this Sunday.

Offensive coordinator Greg Olson mentioned that Jacobs “looked great” in his time on the field.
