Wednesday Injury Update: Trent Brown headed to IR, Josh Jacobs unavailable against Chargers

The Raiders have reportedly placed Trent Brown on injured reserve and will hold Josh Jacobs out of the upcoming matchup with the Chargers.

Brown has been dealing with a pectoral injury and missed the last two games. Fans may not want to see Brandon Parker on the field much, but at least this gives the team a real opportunity to evaluate him for next season.

Jacobs, who is dealing with a fractured shoulder, could return for the season finale against the Broncos is he’s feeling up to it. Richie Incognito (ankle) and Marquel Lee (toe) also did not practice, while a host of other Raiders were limited.

It seems that the entire Raiders offensive line is dealing with some form of injury other than Kolton Miller.

With the Raiders all but eliminated from the playoff race, it seems that they’re taking their foot off the gas and starting to value the future health of their core group.
