Raiders officially activate Marquel Lee, waive Trevor Davis

Well, it looks like I was right. The bus left without Trevor Davis on Sunday.

After a brutal game where Davis was responsible for a bad fumble on a kick return and a would-be 4th and 1 conversion gone awry, Jon Gruden likely decided mid-game that Davis would be out the door with Marquel Lee set to return from injured reserve.

Lee should give the Raiders linebackers an added boost of depth and made usurp either Tahir Whitehead or Nicholas Morrow in a starting capacity before season’s end if he can get up to speed quickly. The former fifth-round pick in 2017 has made 17 starts across his Raiders career.

Lee returned from practice on Nov. 11 after being put on IR after suffering an ankle injury in Week 3 against the Vikings. His addition may result in the Raiders parting ways with Preston Brown, a midseason addition who hasn’t been on the active roster for either of the past two games.
