NFL Scouting Combine 2019 schedule: Arrivals, workouts, drills, TV schedule, Gruden/Mayock press conferences, more

The first groups of NFL prospects start reporting to Indianapolis for the scouting combine Tuesday, starting with special teamers, running backs and offensive linemen. Each day another group of players arrive and start the process while the group that arrived the previous day will move onto the next phase. It will go like this:

  • Day 1: Arrival, registration, hospital pre-exam and X-rays, overflow testing, orientation, interviews.
  • Day 2: Measurements/weigh-in, medical examinations, overflow testing, interviews
  • Day 3: Psychological testing, NFLPA meeting, media, bench press, interviews
  • Day 4: On-field workout, departure

Wednesday begins head coach and GM press conferences, including Jon Gruden who will speak at 6:00 am Pacific (9:00 am ET) on Wednesday and Mike Mayock who will speak at 6:00 am Pacific (9:00 am ET) on Thursday. You can see the entire press conference schedule here.

The first day we see any players take the field for workouts is Friday, March 1 and there will be four days of workouts lasting until Monday, March 4.

On-field drills include the 40-yard dash, vertical jump, broad jump, 3-cone drill, 20-yard shuttle, and 60-yard shuttle along with position specific drills.

Group 1-3 (ST, OL, RB) arrival, check in

Wednesday, February 27

Group 4-6 (QB, WR, TE) arrival, check in

6 am - 1 pm - HC. GM press conferences

4 p.m. – NFL Total Access – LIVE, NFL Network

Thursday, February 28

Group 7-9 arrival (DL, LB) arrival, check in

6 am - 1 pm - HC, GM press conferences

4 p.m. – NFL Total Access – LIVE, NFL Network

Friday, March 1

Group 10-11 (DB) arrival, check in

6 a.m. – Running Backs, Offensive Linemen & Special Teams take the field for on-field workouts– LIVE, NFL Network (3-hour edition also airs at 1 p.m., 5 p.m. & 9 p.m.)

Saturday, March 2

7 a.m. – Quarterbacks, Wide Receivers & Tight Ends take the field for day two of on-field workouts – LIVE, NFL Network (3-hour edition also airs at 2 p.m., 7:30 p.m.)

Sunday, March 3

6 a.m. – Defensive Linemen & Linebackers take the field for day three of on-field workouts – LIVE, NFL Network (3-hour edition airs at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m)

Monday, March 4

7 a.m. – Defensive Backs take the field for day four of on-field workouts.– LIVE, NFL Network (3-hour edition at 1 p.m. & 9 p.m.)
