Trail Blazers’ star Damian Lillard helping Raiders recruit Le’Veon Bell

Over the years the Oakland Raiders have seen many players use Twitter to recruit free agents. Former Raiders linebacker Bruce Irvin was never shy. But this time, it isn’t a player on Oakland’s roster making moves on Twitter to bring in free agents, but it is Portland Trail Blazer’s star and Oakland native Damian Lillard.

On Saturday, Le’Veon Bell posted a video on Twitter asking where he should go as the Pittsburgh Steelers decided not to franchise tag Bell meaning he will finally become a free agent once the new NFL year begins.

In response to Bell’s post, Lillard quoted Bell’s video and said “RaiderNation.”

Derek Carr also liked Lillard’s tweet. So we now know where he stands when it comes to bringing in Bell.

On the football field, Bell should be a welcome addition to the backfield considering Doug Martin and Marshawn Lynch are both headed for free agency.

The question is if Gruden would be willing to use a major chunk of his $71 million in cap space this offseason on a running back who sat out all of 2018?
