Multiple reports have Raiders DB coach Derrick Ansley leaving to take a job with the University of Tennessee as Co-Defensive Coordinator. As first reported by GoVols 247.

Ansley spent just one season with the Raiders under Jon Gruden. Prior to that he was the DB coach at Alabama under defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt who is Tennessee’s new head coach.

Pruitt and Ansley have worked together several times before. First as a graduate assistant at Alabama in 2010 and 2011 when Pruitt was the defensive backs coach and again in 2016 and 2017 with Ansley as defensive backs coach when Pruitt was defensive coordinator.

On a staff that seemed relatively secure, there have now been several departures or changes in titles. Most notably Quarterbacks coach Brian Callahan left to take the Offensive Coordinator job in Cincinnati, and Defensive line coach Mike Trgovac had his role changed to senior assistant as the team hired Brentson Buckner to the DL coach position.
