Brandon Graham re-signs with Eagles starting thinning out of free agent pass rush market

Today the first in what figures to be a domino effect of pass rushers being kept off the market fell. And in this case, it wasn’t a franchise tag, it was simply a player re-signing with their team. The Eagles held onto Brandon Graham on a 3-year deal.

Graham figured to be one of several pass rushers to reach free agency while most of the top talent appears destined to be retained on a franchise tag.

Free agency always looks like it’s going to be flush with talented players to choose from and by the time it arrives, it’s like ‘What happened? Where’d everyone go?’

Among those who the rest of the league likely won’t get a sniff are top pass rushers DeMarcus Lawrence, Jadeveon Clowney, Dee Ford, and Frank Clark. The franchise tag deadline is this coming Tuesday, March 5, so we should know by then.

There could still be some decent pass rushers out there, so all hope is not lost. Keep an eye on Ezekiel Ansah, Trey Flowers, Preston Smith, Za’Darious Smith, Chris Long, Dante Fowler, and Michael Johnson.
