Derek Carr gets another weapon and Jon Gruden gets more offense on day three of the free agent negotiating period. The Raiders are expected to sign wide receiver Tyrell Williams according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Raiders have made no secret they were looking to add an X receiver and Williams was the most viable option on the market.
This post will be updated with contract details when they become available. But don’t expect him to come cheap. We could be looking at a lot of money tied up in the receiver position in Oakland.
Updated: The numbers are in. Williams gets $11 million per season on a 4-year deal with $22 million guaranteed.

The 6-4 deep threat receiver burst onto the scene in 2016, catching 69 passes for 1059 yards and 7 touchdowns. His role in the offense has diminished since then, but he would offer the Raiders offense the qualities in a receiver they don’t currently have. He teams up with recently acquired Antonio Brown and Jordy Nelson to give the Raiders a pretty nice looking trio of receivers.
