Officially free agency isn’t even 12 hours old and we’ve already reached the ‘best of what’s left’ portion of the program. The biggest prizes have been collected, with the Raiders taking home three of them, plus Antonio Brown in trade. They also re-signed a couple of their own in guard Denzelle Good and defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins.
More is out there and the Raiders should continue to be active. Just looking at the top ten on this list presents a few players who would be fine additions. The pass rushers take top billing, but there are others at other positions as well as a couple guys who they would be smart to try and re-sign.
How about one of these guys:
1. ED Ezekiel Ansah, 29
2. ED Justin Houston, 30
3. LB K.J. Wright, 29
4. TE Jared Cook, 31
5. S Eric Berry, 30
6. ED Markus Golden, 28
7. G Mike Iupati, 31
8. RB Marshawn Lynch, 32
9. RB Jay Ajayi, 25
10. CB Ronald Darby, 25
11. S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, 26
12. CB Bryce Callahan, 27
13. CB Darqueze Dennard, 27
14. ED Michael Johnson, 32
15. ED Chris Long, 33
16. ED Alex Okafor, 28
17. S Clayton Geathers, 26
18. WR Kevin White, 26
19. TE Tyler Eifert, 28
20. S Tre Boston, 26
21. G Stefen Wisniewski, 29
22. ED Shaquil Barrett, 26
23. C Nick Easton, 26
24. LB Vincent Rey, 31
25. ED Shane Ray, 25
Releases to add: LB Zach Brown, RB Isaiah Crowell
Note: There are high profile free agents out there who are not listed here because I don’t see them right for the Raiders for various reasons. Such as DT Ndamukong Suh and WR Golden Tate.
