The Raiders have freed up some salary cap room today with the releases of AJ McCarron and Jordy Nelson, and the assumption might be that they would be targeting an edge rusher with that cap room. But one that Oakland had their eyes on has signed with another team this afternoon.

There are precious few true pass rush specialists left on the market, and Justin Houston might be the best of them even at his age. The Raiders are sure to address edge rusher in the draft, and there are plenty of good ones to be had, but will they be able to pair the rookies with a veteran pass rusher? Their options are dwindling by the minute to make that happen.
