If the Raiders aren’t seriously considering drafting a quarterback high in next month’s draft, they are sure trying to send out signals that they could. They already met with top draft QB’s Dwayne Haskins and Kyler Murray at the scouting combine and will be meeting with both privately as well.
At the Ohio State Pro Day Wednesday, which was attended by Raiders GM Mike Mayock, Haskins said he has already met with the Giants who hold the 6th overall pick and is scheduled to meet with the Raiders (4th overall), Broncos (10th overall), Dolphins (13th overall), and Washington (15th overall).
Dwayne Haskins told @MoveTheSticks and I that meeting w/ the Giants was “awesome... We had some good talks, ate some good food and it was a great experience." Said he’s meeting w/ #Broncos, #Raiders, #Dolphins and #Redskins next.

Obviously if any of the teams other than the Raiders get their hearts set on Haskins, they may have to make a trade with a team ahead of the Raiders or with the Raiders themselves to ensure they get him.
Along with their due diligence on the QB draft prospects, both Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock have said Derek Carr is the Raiders’ franchise quarterback and have brought in weapons such as Antonio Brown and Tyrell Williams to help him succeed.
