AAF Sunday game open thread: Arizona Hotshots vs. San Diego Fleet

Welcome to the AAF’s Week 7! We start off with a Sunday afternoon matchup between the San Diego Fleet and the Arizona Hotshots as Fleet quarterback Mike Bercovici makes his Sun Devil Stadium return following a successful career for Arizona State.

The Fleet will not have star receiver Dontez Ford this week after he suffered an ankle injury last week and is in a walking boot, but are hopeful that TE Gavin Escobar can step up and make some plays. Arizona got DT Will Sutton back this week, so the line will have to give Bercovici some protection.

For the Hotshots, WR Rashad Ross leads the league in touchdown catches with six, as he and QB John Wolford have made a stellar connection this season.
