Everything went as expected for the top two picks. Kyler Murray went to Arizona at number one overall and Nick Bosa went to San Francisco with the second overall pick.

The third pick was less certain. The Jets were shopping the pick trying to trade down, but ultimately decided to take the best player on the board, getting Alabama monster interior defensive lineman Quinnen Williams.

With Williams off the board the Raiders take Clemson edge rusher Clelil Ferrell at 4th overall.

Ferrell fits Paul Guenther’s scheme and what the Raiders need perfectly. Though most would say the defensive end could have been gotten lower in the first after a trade down.

Regardless, Ferrell has a lot of experience, talent, and production behind him that he brings to Oakland. He had 11.5 sacks and 20.0 tackles for loss last season for the National Champion Tigers. He was consistent too, putting up 27.0 sacks and 50.5 tackles for loss over the past three college seasons.
