The Oakland Raiders packaged picks 158 and 218 to move up to 149 overall. Sending a seventh round pick to move up nine picks in the fifth round to grab Clemson receiver Hunter Renfrow.

Renfrow is the third Clemson Tiger selected by Mike Mayock and is yet another high-character guy who had success at the collegiate level. At 5’10” and 184 pounds, Renfrow is going to likely start in the slot for Oakland.

With a 4.59 second 40-yard dash, Renfrow is not a speed demon, but he wins with his clean footwork and harsh breaks. He excels at finding soft spots in the defense and never gives up on plays, constantly looking back to work towards the quarterback when extending plays.

He may not be the biggest receiver on the field, but with two national championship games under his belt, Renfrow has shown that he has a penchant for performing in big games. Coach Jon Gruden will love Renfrow’s work ethic and sure hands, and will enjoy drawing up plays for the sneaky slot receiver.
