One of the most highly anticipated drafts in Raiders franchise history has now come to an end with the Raiders making their final selection in round seven.
With pick 230 overall the Raiders selected defensive end, Quinton Bell from Prairie View A&M. Bell is the third defensive end added to the roster through the draft.
Bell is an intriguing prospect to say the least. When he arrived at Prairie View he was a 219 pound wide receiver. In 2018, after a coaching change he was asked to move to the defensive side of the ball. In his first and only season as an edge rusher he collected 7.5 sacks.
It was at his pro day where he really turned heads. His forty time (4.38), vertical jump (41 inch), broad jump (11 feet), and bench press (23) would have ranked him in the top ten at several positions.
Weighing only 240 pounds, Bell could be used in a hybrid edge/linebacker role.
