With the news of the Jets firing their GM three weeks after the draft, comes news of his potential replacements. One who is under serious consideration is that of NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Back in January when the Raiders named longtime NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock as their new General Manager, it was a pretty big deal. Many wondered if he could go from a TV man giving his opinion on draft prospects to running an NFL front office.
So far so good for Mayock. So good, in fact, that the guy who took over for him may just get hired away by an NFL team as well.
The 42-year-old Jeremiah joined NFL Network in 2012, focusing on draft analysis. He was their lead draft analyst this offseason, taking over Mike Mayock’s duties on several NFL Network programs including the Scouting Combine on which Mayock was a fixture.
