The 2019 season gets kicked into the next gear today for the Raiders as they begin Organized Training Activities. The beginning of OTA’s means the Raiders full 90-man roster will take the field together in a practice setting.
This is Phase Three which consists of the next four weeks of the program. The team will conduct a total of 10 days of OTA’s. No live contact is permitted, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are permitted.
That means running plays with Antonio Brown and Tyrell Williams with Gareon Conley and Daryl Worley trying to lock them up in coverage. Derek Carr dropping back to pass while new tackle Trent Brown tries to keep rookie top pick Clelin Ferrell out of the backfield.
Media will have access to three of these OTA days over the next three weeks, including today from 10:30am to 12:30 pm Pacific time. I will be on hand to see this new Raiders team take the field together.
So, what are you looking forward to seeing?
