With a roster spot open after waiving fullback Ryan Yurachek on Wednesday, the Raiders made a move to get back to a 90-man roster, adding cornerback DJ Killings.
The journeyman defensive back has bounced around the NFL the past couple seasons, but has yet to break onto an active roster. Undrafted out of Central Florida in 2017, he signed originally with the Patriots, but was waived in the final roster cuts and signed onto the Eagles’ practice squad.
Last season he spent time on the practice squads for the Eagles, Packers, and Colts where he spent the offseason until being waived earlier this month.
Killings played in 34 games over four seasons (2013-16) at UCF. Three of his five career interceptions came in his senior season with one returned for a touchdown. He also had 11 of his 17 passes defended that season to go along with 42 combined tackles.
